Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus rubbishes racism claims

South Africa coach Rassie Erasmus has ignored claims of racism after a video posted on media following Fridays 49-3 Rugby World Cup victory over Italy triggered a storm straight home.
A movie in the Springboks post-match parties went viral when winger Makazole Mapimpi walked off, following it revealed the Bok replacements in a huddle.
Mapimpi took to explain since it had been for bench players just, that the reason why he wasnt a part of the celebration was, and Erasmus felt reluctant to give you a detailed explanation of occasions.
The trainer said the Boks call the replacements that the Bomb Squad, as theyeither come in and fix it when it is not going well on the park or it is a false alarm and maybe they do not even get on the park.
This was a standing joke from the team and the whole week which Lood de Jager, who was now in the beginning line-up, was out of the Bomb Squad, Erasmus told reporters in Kobe on Sunday.
So at the conclusion of the game, once the Bomb Squad was becoming together, Lood was on his way there and Frans Steyn informed him, you arent a part of this squad and gestured for him to go away.
Mapimpi was on his way across to them at precisely exactly the same time, watched it was the Bomb Squad and simply turned around. Its so sad that people would see something negative because I will give you my word, even as a head coach I would not allow anything like this in the group.
Because the end of Apartheid and first elections 25 decades ago was a process the Springboks were an iconic emblem of South Africa along with the integration of players from other races.
Its been a tough week for the Boks off the field as the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) verified theyd start a case against lock Eben Etzebeth over allegations he and brutally mistreated a patron at a pub in late August.
Etzebeth has vehemently denied any wrong-doing, but is very likely to have to defend himself against the charges in the Equality Court, which hears civil cases, when he returns from the World Cup of South Africa.
Erasmus, who played 36 times around the turn of this century for the Springboks, said that this was one of the most tight-knit South Africa groups that he had been involved .
I have been a part of a whole great deal of Springbok teams and that can be just where there arent a lot of egos, he explained. We have chosen the best guys in South Africa and there are a lot of diverse languages and cultures.
I feel this group is representing the entire nation with a great deal of pride and we are really united. No-one can points hands at this team.
